Colt Power│Guitar & Backing Vocals

Colt Power brings vibrant, electric energy to Sonic Volt. Starting in a high school pop-punk cover band, he honed his love for hooks and rhythms, now infused with a grunge-punk charge. His influences include Tom DeLonge, Kurt Cobain, Pat Smear, Green Day, and The Offspring. Colt thrives on playing live for “the raw energy and the connection with the crowd,” finding joy in the guitar’s ability to “paint sounds and tell stories.” He met Anthony through a mutual friend, sparking Sonic Volt’s initial connection.

Hope HendrixBass & Lead Vocals

The captivating, powerful voice and driver of the thundering low end for Sonic Volt, Hope Hendrix started her musical training as an award-winning clarinetist in middle and high school. Inspired by her father’s (unproven) claim of kinship with Jimi Hendrix, she was drawn to distorted rock sounds as a child. Hope pursued guitar in the early 2000s, writing songs for her punk band, Draven, who played shows with Anthony Delabano’s former band, Spector 45. Years after graduating law school and beginning the practice of law, Hope reconnected with Anthony, who introduced her to guitarist Colt Power. When a bass player was needed, she courageously learned the instrument in November 2024, finding it a “better fit” than guitar. Her influences include Brody Dalle, Kim Gordon, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Turnstile, Nirvana, Hole, and Babes in Toyland. Hope’s lyrics explore “resistance to arbitrary societal constraints, observations about the state of the world, and spiritual awareness.”

Anthony Delabano│Drums & Backing Vocals

Anthony Delabano is the rhythmic backbone and a powerful force behind Sonic Volt, a true veteran of the North Texas music scene with a deep commitment to both artistry and social justice. As the formidable drummer for Spector 45, he honed his dynamic and thunderous drumming style. His influences span The Offspring, Pink Floyd, Reverend Horton Heat, Supersuckers, and 2000s DFW local bands. Beyond music, Anthony is a dedicated activist, a founding member of Foundation 45, and instrumental in significant harm reduction efforts through initiatives like Art of the Machine and free Narcan vending machines. His work with “Conscious Conduit” aims to “develop the arts, music, and tie that into positive social justice,” encompassing a wide range of impactful efforts. Conscious Conduit, and Anthony’s unwavering dedication, “stands for cutting the red tape,” striving to make a tangible difference in the community through music and activism.
